Playground Leaders

Did you know........

every Monday and Wednesday 5th and 6th class volunteers take the infant classes to do playground games with them for 15 minutes at lunch time.

The leaders have been trained by Ms Staunton and they have learned how to plan their game in advance.  They have to organise equipment and space for the infants to play their games.

The volunteers are brilliant!  

The infants really enjoy the games!

Well done to all. Great work!

World Book Day Walk

                                                 This is 5th and 6th class pupils doing a 

World Book Day walk along the paths of Manor Kilbride.

The weather was awful but it didn't dampen our spirits!

                                            Junior infants and Senior infants also did a World
                                              Book Day walk but for a shorter distance.

Gymnastics performance 3rd and 4th

3rd and 4th class put on an amazing performance of what they learnt in gymnastics this month.  Each group had a mixture of children experienced in gymnastics and those trying it for the 1st time.

They all did very well and judges has a difficult decision to make.

Although all teams were winners the judges did agree of the following teams in 1st and 2nd place.

Well done again to all teams.

Brilliant!

Gymnastics February

We are doing gymnastics for February.
The gymnastics is a new exercise that some people have not tried before.
I like learning new sports that we have not tried.

10 @ 10

Today, the 10th of February we all took part in 10 @ 10.  It was fun especially when you saw the whole school being  active. My favourite activity was doing gymnastics on the mats.

10th February
On Friday 10th of February for 10 minutes at 10 o'clock the whole school will take part in 10 @ 10  
( 10 minutes exercise ) as part of the Operation Transformation Programme.  Photos to follow.


13th February
On Monday 13th February the Wicklow County Council Local Sports Partnership are coming to give us pedometers.  Our challenge is to reach 1,000,000 steps (that's one million!!).  The whole school will be involved.  Photos to follow.
